About Me:

Education & Training
In an emergency, it becomes almost impossible for families to arrange blood which can have a potential impact on the patient. We established the Indus Hospital Blood Center, a lifeline forged with a unique centralized blood banking system, ensuring swift access to this vital resource during emergencies.
“When I came back from the US, I started working as a hematologist and a histopathologist. During this time, I observed a significant disparity between our advanced laboratories and the inadequacy of our blood banks. This poses a significant challenge for individuals in need of transfusions, particularly those with thalassemia, hemophilia, or cancer patients requiring blood before undergoing chemotherapy”.

The Indus Blood Bank focuses on mobilizing Pakistan toward 100% voluntary blood donation, partnering with institutions and conducting thorough donation drives. She added, “We only need two things from organizations that host our blood drives: space and enthusiasm. Everything else is provided by us”.

The collected blood undergoes thorough disease testing before being divided into three essential components: red blood cells, platelets, and plasma, reducing waste. Our dedication to extending this success across the nation is geared towards guaranteeing hospitals maintain a reliable and effective blood inventory, underscoring the life-saving potential of swift blood accessibility.

The Indus Blood Bank’s triumph has elicited appreciation from patients, acknowledging the vital role played by committed volunteers in this life-saving endeavor.
