IHHN hosts CME – Best Practice in Stool Sample Processing

A DUHS-Accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) was conducted at Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus by the hospital’s Department of Microbiology and Clinical laboratories on Tuesday, 12 December, 2023. The objective of this CME was to discuss the laboratory-related applications of best practices in stool sample processing.

The accreditation process was facilitated by IHHN’s medical directorate. The CME consisted an onsite session attended by 38 participants including consultants from various hospital departments as well as residents, medical officers, and technologists.

Dr. Nazia Khursheed, Head of the Clinical Laboratory department, Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, delivered the opening remarks. Other esteemed speakers at the event included Dr. Ambreen Fatima, Dr. Fareeha Adnan, Dr. Moiz Ahmed Khan, Mr. Shakir Hussain, and Nazia Parveen. Moderation was done by Dr. Qurat Ul Ain Zahid, a resident of the clinical laboratory at the Korangi Campus.
