UHS-Accredited CME Elevates Cardiac Care at RTEH

A UHS-accredited Continuing Medical Education (CME) event recently took place at RTEH (Muzaffargarh), organized in collaboration with MIKD (Multan). The Department of Chemical Pathology, led by Dr. Muhammad Zubair and Dr. Mahmooda Altaf, hosted this informative session on August 29, 2023.

The CME’s main focus was the practical applications of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin assays, with support from Roche Diagnostics.

The CME, featuring 32 attendees onsite and 17 online participants, provided a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Head of the Pathology Department at MIKD, inaugurated the session with opening remarks. Notably, the CME highlighted an original research study conducted by IHHN, comparing the sensitivities of Traditional Trop I and hs Trop T, carried out at RTEH and Badin campuses.

The esteemed speakers, including Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Dr. Mahmooda Altaf, and Miss Rabeea Sarwar, delivered valuable insights. Dr. Zoha Rasool, a clinical pathology resident at MIKD, skillfully moderated the session, attracting consultants from various medical departments such as ER, Cardiology, Medicine, and Pathology. The audience also included residents, medical officers, and technologists. The event concluded with an engaging Question & Answer session led by Dr. Qadeer, followed by post-CME feedback.
