IHHN Strengthens Public Health Research Capacity Through Comprehensive Training Program

The Primary Care Program at Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) successfully concluded a comprehensive capacity building module on Research in Public Health, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening evidence based healthcare through continuous professional development.

Conducted from April to June 2026, the training series was led by Ms. Anzeela Kamran and designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to develop, analyze, and publish high-quality scientific research.

The module comprised five interactive sessions covering the essential components of the research process. Participants gained an understanding of research fundamentals, including formulating research questions, developing problem statements, conducting literature reviews, and establishing research rationales. The training also focused on research methodology, with sessions on study designs, sampling techniques, sample size calculations, and participant selection criteria.

Additional workshops explored data analysis, enabling participants to interpret descriptive and inferential statistics, manage data entry, and understand research variables. Participants also received hands-on guidance in proposal and manuscript writing, followed by a dedicated session on developing effective discussion sections for scientific publications.

The sessions were facilitated by Ms. Bibi Nazira, Ms. Anzeela Kamran, Ms. Syeda Tabeena Ali, and Ms. Nida Ghouri, whose expertise provided participants with practical insights into every stage of the research process.

The training incorporated interactive group activities, pre- and post-assessments, and practical exercises, allowing participants to translate public health observations into structured, publication-ready research manuscripts.
