Basics of Pediatric Oncology Physicians Course Concludes Second Batch with Certificate Completion Ceremony
The Pediatric Hematology & Oncology Department at Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) celebrated the successful completion of the second batch of the Basics of Pediatric Oncology Physicians course with a certificate completion ceremony, recognizing the dedication and achievements of participating physicians.
The ceremony was attended by senior leadership, including Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf, Executive Medical Director; Dr. Ghina Shamsi, Associate Dean, IUHS, Dr. Saba Shahid, Chair of Pediatrics; Dr. Shafaq Sultana, Head of Health Profession Education; Dr. Naeem Jabbar, Consultant; pediatric oncology faculty members; and the My Child Matters (MCM) team.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saba Shahid and Dr. Muhammad Shamvil Ashraf reflected on the evolution of the course, its long-term sustainability, and the importance of expanding structured academic programs through the Cancer Academy to strengthen pediatric oncology capacity across Pakistan.
Participants shared positive feedback on the program, highlighting its role in enhancing access to pediatric oncology knowledge, particularly for physicians practicing in regions where formal training opportunities are limited. They also expressed interest in advanced learning opportunities, including practical exposure and hands-on clinical training.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants and appreciation of the faculty for their valuable contributions.
