Indus Hospital & Health Network Signs MoU with National Institute of Child Health to Strengthen Cystic Fibrosis Care
Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Institute of Child Health (NICH), Karachi, to collaborate on the diagnosis and management of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) in children.
The partnership aims to address a critical gap, CF remains a heavily underdiagnosed condition in Pakistan. Under this agreement, IHHN will provide a comprehensive range of services free of cost to patients referred by NICH, including Sweat Chloride testing for CF diagnosis, genetic testing for CFTR gene mutations, specialist clinical consultations, and guidance on CFTR modulator therapies.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Syed Zafar Zaidi, Chief Executive Officer of IHHN, and Prof. Nasir Saleem Saddal, Executive Director of NICH. Dr. Muhammad Fareeduddin, Head of Pediatrics and Lead, Cystic Fibrosis at IHHN, was also present at the signing ceremony.
This collaboration reflects both institutions’ shared commitment to improving pediatric healthcare outcomes across Pakistan, bringing advanced diagnostic and clinical support for Cystic Fibrosis closer to the children who need it most.
