Indus Hospital Expands Lifesaving Cystic Fibrosis Treatment under “Trikafta Season 2”

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) proudly announced the launch of “Trikafta Season 2”, a continuation of its groundbreaking initiative to provide free-of-cost treatment for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) patients in Pakistan.

The event, held at the Seminar Hall (4th Floor, Old Building) of Indus Hospital, Karachi, marked another major milestone in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to transform the lives of children and young adults living with CF.

The initiative is led by Dr. Muhammad Fariduddin, Head of the Pediatric Department, whose vision and dedication have been instrumental in introducing and expanding this life-changing therapy in Pakistan.

Following the success of Season 1, where 52 CF patients received the Trikafta gene modulator therapy free of cost, Season 2 will extend this initiative to 37 additional patients, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 89.

Approved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), Trikafta is among the most advanced treatments for CF globally. It has demonstrated remarkable improvements in patients’ lung function, weight gain, infection control, and overall quality of life.
