World Patient Safety Day at IHHN: Fostering Awareness, Ownership, and Best Practices

The Quality Monitoring Directorate of Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) marked World Patient Safety Day with a series of interactive competitions and awareness activities aimed at strengthening the culture of safety across the hospital.
Patient safety week began with enthusiasm as staff actively participated in the Daily Patient Safety Trivia Quiz Competition, testing their knowledge and reinforcing key safety practices. Winners of the trivia quiz were announced and celebrated for their commitment to learning and engagement.
In line with fostering ownership of safety, the Patient Safety Awareness Championship was organized across both clinical and non-clinical departments. The winners were recognized for their creativity and innovation in promoting patient safety standards and practices within their respective areas.
Another major highlight of the event was the Annual Surveillance Championship, where departments competed to showcase their adherence to patient safety and infection prevention standards. Clinical and non-clinical teams demonstrating the highest compliance with safety protocols were awarded, setting a benchmark for others to follow.
The event concluded with the flagship session, “Karwan-e-Fikar”, featuring an interactive leadership panel discussion. Hospital leaders and panelists engaged in a thought-provoking dialogue on patient safety challenges, sharing practical insights and strategies to enhance safe and reliable healthcare delivery.
