Global Recognition for IHHN’s Hematology Research at SOHO 2025

The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) congratulates Dr. Neelum Mansoor (IHHN, Karachi) on being awarded the Young Investigator Travel Scholarship by the Society of Hematologic Oncology (SOHO). The scholarship enabled her to attend and present at the SOHO 2025 Annual Meeting, held from 3–6 September 2025 in Houston, Texas, USA.

Dr. Neelum Mansoor presented an abstract based on research conducted at The Indus Hospital on Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia (MPAL). MPAL is a rare and diagnostically challenging form of leukemia that displays overlapping features of both myeloid and lymphoid lineages. Her presentation highlighted the clinical complexity, diagnostic dilemmas, and therapeutic challenges of MPAL, with special emphasis on management approaches in resource-limited settings.

Participation in SOHO 2025 provided Dr. Neelum Mansoor with the opportunity to engage with international experts, share insights from local research, and build collaborations that can strengthen hematologic care and research in Pakistan. Her work showcased the quality of clinical investigation being carried out at The Indus Hospital and reinforced the importance of supporting young investigators from the region.
