IHHN Marks World Breastfeeding Week 2025 with Awareness and Advocacy
In its ongoing commitment to maternal and child health, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) commemorated World Breastfeeding Week from August 1 to 7, 2025, across all its campuses.
Breastfeeding plays a vital role in ensuring the healthy growth and development of infants, and remains a key priority for IHHN’s neonatal and maternal health programs. Throughout the year, IHHN’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Nursing Department conduct regular counseling sessions to educate and support mothers on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.
As part of this global awareness week, IHHN organized a special interactive counseling session led by Nurse Abda, Dr. Naila Nizami, Nursing Manager Rehana, and Dr. Ali. The session highlighted the lifelong health benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and child, while also addressing common concerns and misconceptions faced by new mothers.
Through initiatives like these, IHHN continues to empower families with knowledge and compassionate care—promoting best practices in maternal and newborn health across Pakistan.
