iHope Batch 34 Students Experience the Heart of Indus Hospital’s Mission

We are delighted to share the successful completion of iHope Batch 34, which brought together nearly 56 enthusiastic students from different schools across Karachi including Alpha College, Bahria College, Bay View High School, Beaconhouse School System, Cedar College, Cedar School – Higher Secondary Campus, Credo College, Dawood Public School, DHACSS Creek Campus, DHACSS College for Woman, DHACSS College for Woman (Phase-VIII), Eden College Karachi, Fajr Academy, Foundation Public School, Frobel Education Centre, Generations School & College, Gems American Academy Qatar, Govt. College Science and Commerce, Government Degree College for Women, Happy Home School, Happy Palace Grammar School, Haque Academy, Indus Academy, Nixor College, Private/Homeschool, Reflections, Taqwa Model School, The Indus Academy, The Lyceum, The World Academy.

The program started with registration and a comprehensive orientation session introducing students to Pakistan’s healthcare system and the Indus Hospital and Health Network’s (IHHN’s) mission. Participants also learned about the Indus Yaqeen Program and took a guided tour of the hospital to gain firsthand insight into its service areas and operations.

iHope Batch 34 was structured around meaningful, hands-on sessions designed to offer real-world exposure to healthcare, encourage empathy, and nurture leadership through service. Throughout the week, students engaged in practical medical training, including CPR certification, Basic First Aid, and Firefighting drills. These sessions were crafted to prepare students to respond effectively in emergencies.

Beyond medical training, students benefited from a rich lineup of workshops and talks, such as Patient interaction with empathy, The Art of Storytelling with Khurram Khan, Career Talk with Dr. Faridah Amin, Director & Principal, Indus College of Family Medicine and Public Health, workshop on building resume and interview skills, Voices Against Tobacco session which focuses on raising awareness about the growing trend of tobacco use among youth, Mental Health & Wellness session by Dr. Imran, A powerful and motivating address by Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, President of IHHN.

Every aspect of the program was carefully designed to provide a balanced mix of clinical exposure, personal growth, and social responsibility. iHope Batch 34 proved to be a transformative journey, leaving a lasting impact on all who took part.
