Additionally, experts emphasized the importance of dietary counseling in dispelling misconceptions about eating habits during Suhoor and Iftar.
Key Highlights:
- Risk Stratification: Identifying individuals who can fast safely
- Pre-Ramadan Screening & Counseling: Preparing patients for fasting
- Medication Adjustments: Optimizing diabetes treatment during fasting
- Managing Hypoglycemia & Hyperglycemia: Preventing complications
- Dietary Guidance: Encouraging healthy eating patterns during Ramadan
A Hybrid Learning Experience
The session was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation from multiple IHHN campuses. Prof. Yakoob Ahmedani actively engaged with both in-person and virtual attendees, making the session highly interactive and informative.
