Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital (RTEH), Muzaffargarh, successfully concluded a comprehensive 2-day workshop titled “From Crises to Confidence: Navigating Pediatric Emergencies with Resuscitation and Trauma Expertise.” The workshop brought together a diverse group of healthcare professionals from Lahore, Multan, Jalalpur Pirwala, Vehari, Jam Pur, and DG Khan regions.

Led by Dr. Saba Laila and supported by facilitators Dr. Uzma Khurram Sheikh, Dr. Saba Aslam, and Dr. Rashid Lalhaira, while Dr. Sameera Fatima, Consultant in Pediatric Emergency at RTEH, was the focal person for this workshop, ensuring its success and meaningful impact. The workshop focused on equipping attendees with essential skills in recognizing and managing critical pediatric cases, following the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) approach. Specialized training in trauma resuscitation was also provided, enhancing participants’ ability to handle emergency situations effectively.

Over the course of two days, participants engaged in hands-on skill stations and comprehensive training sessions, transitioning from crisis response to competence and confidence in pediatric emergency care.

The workshop’s overarching goal was to empower healthcare providers with advanced expertise and confidence in pediatric emergency care, ultimately leading to improved pediatric care outcomes across the region. This event underscores RTEH’s commitment to continuous education and professional development, ensuring that healthcare professionals, including residents, are well-prepared to handle critical pediatric cases effectively and with confidence.
