In Pakistan, poor health and disease burden are generally a result of housing issues, unsafe water, inadequate sanitation and poor socioeconomic conditions. At Indus, we are on a mission to improve the overall wellbeing of communities.

A multi-sectoral approach is a deliberate collaboration between various stakeholders and sectors to jointly achieve positive change. Given Pakistan’s poor health, and particularly the high financial burden of healthcare in Pakistan, where an estimated 400,000 households fall into poverty each year, significant investment in a multi-sectoral approach or ‘One Health’ to improve overall health indicators and achieve real impact is required. Though its deployment is still in its infancy, initial results from IHHN’s multi-sectoral approach have displayed tangible improvement in the lives of communities.
