100% FREE,
QUALITY CARE
FOR
WOMEN AND GIRLS

Each year, thousands of women and girls in Pakistan struggle to access essential healthcare. For every 100,000 live births, 154 mothers lose their lives, and Pakistan has one of the highest rates of breast cancer in Asia, accounting for 14% of all cancer cases. IHHN is dedicated to addressing this crisis.

IHHN provides essential women- and girl-centric services across Pakistan, including pre- and post-natal care, legal aid, economic support, women’s nutrition, family planning, and breast cancer screenings to ensure better health outcomes for women across generations.
Indus Al Hasanah is a unique intiative that empowers women to fulfill their Zakat obligations. During this month, this initiative offers a meaningful way for women to directly contribute to the care of others with breast cancer.

Fighting Against Gender-based Issues!

When the 2022 floods came, IHHN, with the support of UNFPA, identified several gaps, including access to healthcare for vulnerable groups. The biggest issue we noticed was how women and girls were especially at risk.

To address this, IHHN and UNFPA established 18 Women and Girl Friendly Safe (WGFS) spaces to ensure their security, health, and dignity for over 500,000 women and girls.

The holistic project not only met their essential healthcare needs but also provided pathways for legal aid, opportunities for economic empowerment, and support groups and psychosocial counseling, significantly improving their quality of life.
