Nasim Hyder holds a degree in commerce from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. A fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Pakistan (ICAP), Nasim Hyder has over thirty years of experience in accountancy, audit, tax, corporate affairs, and consultancy as a former partner in practice with Ernst & Young.
Regarded as one of the leading authorities in the country on taxation, Nasim Hyder has been involved in policy matters regarding tax legislation in Pakistan when he was practicing. He also led transaction tax teams in some of the most complicated transactions in Pakistan.
During his time at Ernst & Young, he was involved in tax advisory for various local and global clients in different sectors such as oil and gas, telecommunication, energy and power, financial services, information technology, engineering and automobile, construction, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and paints.
He also served as the president, elected member, and member of the council and various committees of ICAP. Nasim Hyder also served as a member Executive Board of The Confederation of Asia and Pacific Accountants, an accounting body having membership of Asia & Pacific Countries including Pakistan.
Presently, he is serving as an elected Director and Chairman Audit Committee of Feroze 1888 Mills Limited and Orix Leasing Pakistan Limited along with his role as a Director of the Indus Hospital & Health Network’s Board of Directors
