Khalid’s Courage

At the tender age of 3, Khalid was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, a type of cancer that spreads in the kidneys and predominantly affects children. He belongs to Afghanistan, but his father brought him to Indus Hospital and Health Network in Korangi, Karachi for his treatment. Indus Hospital and Health Network is known for its expertise in pediatric oncology amongst others, and Khalid’s father knew that his son would receive the best possible care there, free of cost. Khalid’s father was incredibly worried about his son’s condition. Cancer is a difficult disease to face, and it’s especially sensitive and risky for a child who is so young. However, the doctors at Indus Hospital reassured his parents that they would do everything within their means to help their son. Khalid began treatment at Indus Hospital, and his father stayed by his side throughout the entire process. The doctors and nurses at the hospital were kind and compassionate, and they made sure that Khalid was comfortable there. They also made sure that his father understood the treatment process and what he could do to help his son. Over time, Khalid began to respond to treatment, and his condition slowly improved. The doctors at Indus Hospital monitored his progress closely and adjusted his treatment as needed. Khalid’s father was relieved to see his son getting better, and he knew that he had made the right decision by bringing him to Indus Hospital.
