World Physical Therapy Day is a special occasion dedicated to recognizing the crucial role of physical therapists in improving global health. On September 2, 2023, the Department of Physical Therapy at Indus Hospital celebrated this day with reverence. The day began with a recitation of holy verses from the Quran.

Professor Muhammad Amin Chinoy, the Executive Director, warmly welcomed attendees and showcased our wide range of services, including ICU care, Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics Rehab, Neuro Rehab, Gynae & Obstetrics Rehab, Pediatric Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab, and Amputee Rehabilitation. His opening remarks set a positive tone for the event. Dr. Syed Kamran Ahmed, the Head of Orthopedics Services, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care.

The event also celebrated inspiring success stories of patients who, with the help of physical therapy, overcame adversity. Muhammad Aslam, Hira Fatima, Muhammad Junaid, and Dr. Saeeda Haider’s journeys showcased the power of rehabilitation.

Moreover, the Pulmo-rehab program has transformed the lives of patients like Gulshan, while Muhammad Maaz’s remarkable progress in Pediatric Rehab illustrates the impact of specialized care.

Dr. Farah Naz, Head of Physical Therapy Services, expressed gratitude to all attendees and marked the conclusion of the event. The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the success of this celebration. This event highlighted the incredible impact of physical therapy on the lives of patients and the dedication of healthcare professionals.
