IHHN-Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Muzaffargarh, Raises Heart Health Awareness on World Heart Day

Indus Hospital & Health Network’s Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Muzaffargarh, organized an enlightening seminar/awareness walk on heart diseases in observance of World Heart Day. The purpose of the event was to educate the public about the causes, symptoms, and possible prevention of heart diseases. The event, hosted by the Cardiology Services Department of the hospital, aimed to emphasize the significance of timely diagnosis and treatment of heart-related ailments.

Addressing the audience, Dr. Irfan Javed, Head of Campus, highlighted the critical importance of prompt medical attention in cases of chest pain or difficulty in breathing, which are often symptoms of heart issues. Dr. Mohammad Zaman, Head of Cardiology Services, emphasized the role of factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol in contributing to heart diseases. He stressed the importance of reducing salt intake, avoiding fatty foods, and incorporating regular physical exercise into daily routines to prevent heart ailments.

The event was attended by a large number of staff members, including Head of Operations Waqar Ahmed, Faculty Chair Dr. Shiraz Hassan Bhutta, Head of Orthopedics Department Dr. Gauhar Nawaz Khan, Cardio physician Dr. Sehrish, Dr. Kashif, Dr. Nadeem Sohail, and Administrative Manager Usama Riaz.
