Pakistan’s healthcare is plagued by a critical healthcare worker shortage, including only 0.5 nurses and midwives for every 1,000 people; 6 specialist surgeons for every 100,000 people, and 1 physician for every 1,000 people. IHHN is executing a large-scale expansion of its health facilities to ensure accessibility to high-quality care for all, by planning inter-connected owned hospitals and a network of secondary-care facilities by leveraging public-private partnerships.
