Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and its employees raised funds to support Indus Health Network’s expansion programme ‘Brick for Life’. The event was held on November 29, 2018. It was part of HBL’s corporate social responsibility. Dr Abdul Bari Khan, CEO Indus Health Network (IHN); Mr Yunis Hashim Bengali, Chairman of the Board, IHN; and Mr Ahson Tariq, Chief Financial Officer, IHN were present. The fundraising activity was simultaneously held at HBL Plaza, HBL Tower, and HBL Annexe.
Mr Mehboob Ul Haq, Managing Director, Sindh Enterprise Development Fund, Government of Sindh, visited the Indus Hospital, Korangi. Gulraiz Rafiq is a Pediatric Oncology nurse who has been nursing children battling cancer for the past 10 years. He was previously with at Children Cancer Hospital (CCH), after CCH moved into Indus Hospital as a Pediatric Cancer Unit in the hospital he joined the Indus Hospital and has been serving as a dedicated nurse in the Pediatric Oncology Department here at Indus Hospital, Korangi, Karachi.
A group of Dallas, Chicago based surgeons conducted a total of 60 total hip and knee replacement surgeries during a period of five days at The Indus Hospital (TIH), Karachi. The team comprising of orthopedic surgeons, was led by Dr Umar Burney, Master Trainer, Zimmer Biomet, USA, along with Dr. Syed Atif Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Khalid Yousuf, Dr. Scott Lessen Branden, Dr. Rhett Steen Crawford and TIH team which consisted of Professor Amin Chinoy and Professor Mansoor Ali Khan. The pediatric oncology department of The Indus Hospital organized an event to mark Pediatric Oncology Nurses Day which is observed internationally on September 8. The event was organized to honor those nurses who provide the highest standard of physical and emotional support to the most precious patients – children with cancer and their families. The event was well-attended by Pediatric oncology nurses, doctors and professionals.
