Summer Camp Organized At IHHN Karachi For Pediatric Oncology Patients

A summer camp was organized for the first time at Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN), for pediatric oncology patients, at Korangi campus, by i-Inspire ambassador, Faryal Kamran. The camp lasted for one month. The camp surely brought smiles on children who need them the most.

Around 10,000 children are expected to get diagnosed with cancer every year in Pakistan. However, due to lack of access and unaffordability of treatment, approximately 70% of children diagnosed either abandon treatment or are unable to survive beyond 5 years of starting treatment.

The activities included Yoga session, magic show, a visit to Science fuse, keychain making, tote bag, necklace making, creative carving, storytelling and cake cutting ceremony.

Summer camp was sponsored by Fary Goraya Ask Fary, Power of Sharing, Hamza Masood from Move and Speak and POM POM décor. Activity partner was Science Fuse / spark your neurons.

IHHN is grateful to Faryal Kamran Initiative for bringing smiles and joy on the faces of the children under treatment.
