patient's storY

Mr. Fayyaz Mohammad is a 67 year old mechanical foreman who retired from Pakistan Steel Mills.  He receives a pension of Rs. 1500 per month, and lives with his family in Korangi.  He had urinary symptoms for which he was seen in the filter clinic at The Indus Hospital and referred to the Urology Clinic.  After initial assessment and investigations, he was admitted to The Indus Hospital for a flexible cystoscopy as a day case on Friday, August 24, 2007.  Cystoscopy was carried out which showed him to have a possible communication between his intestines and urinary bladder – probably a complication of a previous abdominal surgery.  He was discharged 2 hours after the procedure, and will be followed up in the outpatient clinic for further work up before definitive surgery is undertaken here, Insha'Allah.Pictures before, during and after the procedure are attached.  Alhamdolillah, this marks the first inpatient admission and procedure at The Indus Hospital – a memorable day indeed.
